To mark the grand opening of CityTarget in Portland, I commissioned local artist duo Rather Severe to paint a vibrant mural celebrating the city’s distinct spirit. Engaging the community, I worked with my team to crowd-source inspiration from locals on Instagram, ensuring that the artwork truly resonated with the essence of Portland.
Keep Portland Weird.
Working with the building site manager, I had blank canvases installed within the window displays, segmented to represent each of Portland's five districts. Over two weeks, the team live-painted while I vetted photo submissions from the community and handled legal clearances for all featured imagery.
